Personal profile

Dr. Mohamed Elarabi journey started at Mansoura University, Egypt, where he was awarded the Bachelor of Clinical Pharmacy in 2016 as an honour student ranked the seventh among 150 students. He then started his career as a volunteer clinical pharmacist at Mansoura University Urology & Nephrology Centre (UNC) for a few months, before joining the Mansoura University Gastrointestinal Surgery Center (GISC/GESC) to lead the establishment of their clinical pharmacy department and its clinical and teaching services. During this period, he also led a multi-disciplinary research team to find a therapy protocol for a killing EDR Acinetobacter baumannii nosocomial infection at the GISC/GESC.

In 2019, this clinical trial was published in the prestigious International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and he completed his professional doctorate in clinical pharmacy (Pharm D), as an honour student as well, ranked the eighth among 100 students. In addition, he received a scholarship from the University of Sunderland that supported him to study the OSPAP MSc, that was awarded with distinction.


In 2020, he joined South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust (STSFT) as a clinical pharmacist. Then in 2023, he joined Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and the University of Manchester as a specialist surgical pharmacist and a clinical tutor for undergraduate pharmacy and medicine students concomitantly.


In December 2024, Dr. Mohamed Elarabi joined ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ (ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥) as a senior lecturer in pharmacy practice with a focus on postgraduate teaching.
