Personal profile

I joined Leicester De Montfort Law School in November 2020, having lectured law at undergraduate and postgraduate level for the Universities of Derby and Huddersfield. My main areas of teaching being; Law of Tort, Intellectual Property Law, Global Intellectual Property Law and Commercial Law. I take pride in supporting students; developing methods of delivery and assessment that are creative and engaging. I have contributed to papers on digital literacies and blended learning. My use of discussion boards and WIKIS to assess the postgraduate module, ‘Global Intellectual Property Rights', has been the subject of two papers delivered at workshops in mainland Europe.
I am the co-author of Intellectual Property Law, 6e with Simon Clark for Palgrave Macmillan. My main research interest is the intersection between intellectual property and the ownership of biological material. I have experience of supervising dissertations on aspects of Commercial Law, Intellectual Property and Tort at Master’s level. I was also a second supervisor for a PhD completed in 2020 on Corporate Governance and Creditor Protection in the U.K and Zambia.
