Mohammed joined the Faculty of Business and Law in 2008 initially as Associate Lecturer and then as Senior Lecturer in Marketing in 2009. Throughout his time at ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥, he has developed extensive programme and module leadership experience and is keen to support more junior colleagues. He has shown a strong commitment to developing the maximum potential in students by promoting a student-centred approach to learning and teaching. In 2018 Mohammed was appointed to Associate Professor and Subject Lead for International Business and Marketing. His responsibilities here included curriculum review and development, promoting teaching and learning innovation, compliance with quality assurance procedures, as well as resourcing and line management responsibilities.
In his current role as Associate Professor and Faculty Senior Tutor, Mohammed plays a pivotal role in the delivery and continued development of the Personal Tutoring provision across the Faculty. He has overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of undergraduate and postgraduate taught students and for providing advice, guidance and support to personal tutors within the Faculty. He supports Associate Dean (Academic) and the University Senior Tutor in developing and refining the role of Personal Tutor across the University and works closely with other Faculties and relevant Directories (e.g. LLS, SAAS, L&OD).
